How to be Frugal
How to keep ON TOP of finances, even how to utilize coupons at the grocery store and save money.
Then I seemed to unlearn them. Wasting my money, my resources, my opportunities, and the list could go on.
Why?
Because organization, planning, having forethought are all things that take time and energy. It’s WORK!
While the payoff is absolutely worth the organization, planning and forethought, it is still work. Wasting is easy, not in your best interest but far too easy. The consequences of wasting are sometimes so slow to evolve that you don’t realize until trapped in a snare of bad practices you’ve done the opposite of what you had wanted all along.
I hate that I have been all those good things but let my behavior, motivation, and will slip back into all those bad things. Four years ago I managed to lose 50 pounds. Today I weigh ten pounds more. Life is hard, it is difficult. There is so much to do and understand just to get though everyday living. How does one keep up? As human beings we gravitate towards our interests, our strengths, what is easy and the rest falls to the wayside. Breaking the cycle – well there is the rub.
P.S. reading self-help books and books on habit may work for you but they haven't done anything for me.
